Haskapa is a science-led superfood brand built around one remarkable berry — the haskap — and a story of curiosity, farming, and helping people feel their best through nutrition.

Who We Are

Haskapa was founded by physician, Dr Evie Kemp, and her husband Simon Fineman, a green entrepreneur. They discovered haskap growing in the cold Canadian climate and were struck by its colour, taste and exceptional nutritional profile.

What started as a small haskap farm became a mission: to turn this little-known berry into a practical superfood for people who want natural foods that taste delicious, support wellbeing and fit into everyday life.​

The Science

Our clinical background shapes our approach: we start with the research and build products around what’s been studied. Haskap berries are naturally rich in anthocyanins and other polyphenols — plant compounds widely explored in nutrition science.

We’re committed to advancing understanding of haskap through research. Alongside the University of Reading, we’ve studied haskap berry powder in relation to cognition, mood and blood pressure, and with Northumbria University we’ve explored its role in exercise and physical activity.performance.
