Saturday's shaping up to be a proper stay-in kind of day, with two exciting sporting highlights to enjoy - Wimbledon's Ladies' Final and England's World Cup quarter-final against Norway.
You don't need alcohol to make a day like this feel like an occasion, but a special drink certainly helps! Here's one that's full of berry colour, refreshingly fizzy, and perfect for the warm weather too - all the occasion, none of the Sunday regret.
Ingredients
1 heaped tsp haskap berry powder
Juice of half a lime
1/2-1 tsp honey or maple syrup
A few mint leaves
Ice
Soda water or sparkling water, to top up
Directions
In a small glass or cup, mix the haskap berry powder with a splash of warm water and stir well until you've got a smooth, paste.
Mix the mint leaves gently in the bottom of your serving glass to release the flavour.
Add the haskap paste, lime juice, and honey to the glass and stir well to blend together.
Fill the glass with ice, top up with soda water, and give it one last stir.
Garnish with a slice of lime, a few extra mint leaves and some fresh berries if you have them.
Recipe Note
It's got the colour and the occasion feel of something more indulgent, but it's just berries, citrus, and bubbles - easy to make a jug if you've got people over, and easy on you, whichever way the sport goes!
