Ingredients
150 grams Alterego cottage cheese
2 teaspoons Haskapa superfood berry powder
150 grams frozen dark cherries
50 grams cooked beetroot (plain)
250ml unsweetened almond milk
2 tablespoons hemp seeds
2 tablespoons milled flaxseeds
1/2 teaspoon ceylon cinnamon
Directions
Add liquids and cottage cheese: Pour almond milk into the blender first, then add cottage cheese.
Add remaining ingredients: Frozen dark cherries, cooked beetroot, Haskapa superfood berry powder, cinnamon, hemp seeds, and ground linseeds.
Blend: Blend on high for 60–90 seconds until completely smooth and creamy.
Taste and adjust: Taste and add a small drizzle of honey or a medjool date if you'd like it a little sweeter. Blend briefly again if needed.
Recipe Note
Seeds: You can swap hemp and flaxseeds for chia or pumpkin if preferred.
Beetroot: Pre-cooked vacuum-packed beetroot (plain) is ideal and saves time.
Protein boost: The cottage cheese already gives around 15–18g of protein, but you could add a scoop of unflavoured or vanilla protein powder if training.
