We have been so delighted to see so many beautiful recipes with Haskapa appearing across social media. One of our all time favourites are these beautiful Purple Healthy Heart Pancakes by @brunchinpairs.
We love how she's added oats and bananas, both of which can help to support heart health; oats are great as they can help to lower cholesterol, plus bananas contain fiber, potassium, vitamin C and B6. Studies have shown that increasing potassium intake in addition to reducing sodium intake can help to reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease.

Ingredients

One banana

One egg

A scoop of protein powder (we loveSupernova Organic Protein Powder)

Half a cup of oats

One teaspoon of Haskapa
Directions
For super fluffy pancakes the trick is not to overmix. Put all your dry ingredients into a large bowl. In another bowl mash your banana and mix with the egg until smooth. Once that's done pour the wet ingredients into the bowl of dry ingredients and give it just a few whisks just until the dry ingredients are all moistened.
Heat a 12 inch pan, scoop in batter by 1/4 cup full. Cook for 2-3min until the edges are bubbly and dry
Repeat, eat and enjoy!
