The hidden strawberries sit beautifully between thick layers of deliciously purple Haskapa and banana smoothie.

Here’s how we created our version!

“Looking forward to creating more with this and there’ll be a great spectrum of colours depending on how much or how little powder I use.” @eatxeatxeat

HIDDEN BERRY SMOOTHIE

Ingredients

  • 4 teaspoons of Haskapa berry powder

  • 1 slightly ripe banana

  • A sprinkle of vanilla powder (optional)

  • 6 strawberries (chopped)

  • 1 cup of milk (or almond milk)

  • 4 tablespoons of plain organic yoghurt (or vegan alternative)

Directions

  1. Blend the banana, milk, yoghurt and vanilla powder to make the smoothie. Put to one side

  2. Blend together 1/3 of the smoothie with 3 teaspoons of Haskapa powder to make up the first layer

  3. Pour the first layer of the smoothie into serving glasses. Place the strawberries neatly on top

  4. Add another 1/3 of the smoothie to make up the second layer

  5. Blend the remaining smoothie with 1 teaspoon of Haskapa for a lighter purple shade to go on top

  6. Enjoy!
